![]() They sell to low income union workers that have no interest or intent in buying life insurance. On top of all that the company’s marketing practices need improvement. They assume everyone is going to learn how to write insurance plans according to certain needs and present these plans and sell policies in just one week with minimal training. Super high expectations from the management on new agents just starting out makes for a stressful and hostile work environment. So basically the company dodges employee taxes and other employee benefits by making all agents sign a 1099 form. Your expected to constantly check in with a manger and have your work schedule and productivity monitored on a daily basis and comply with the demands for meetings and phone calling productivity. Company claims you are an independent contractor but that is completely false. Virtual office on zoom to make phone calls is also expected daily, you literally sit in a zoom meeting and make phone calls while a bunch of other agents including your manager sit and listen to you and also make phone calls for themselves, it’s very strange and uncomfortable. This company has mandatory meetings, continuing education classes and virtual offices you have to join to make phone calls for countless hours two whole days out of the week completely unpaid. ![]() Expected to work all days of the week when you are just starting out for 12+ hours a day for no pay. ![]() Must have 40+ hours a week available to work, including week nights and weekends. You do get paid for referrals if you and whoever you refer are both still with the company after 6 months. For PTO it is after 4 months, and Vacation time is after 6 months. You earn vacation and PTO but can’t use it until you have been with the company a certain amount of time. You do get some paid holidays and benefits with this job. However, if it goes over 5.00% you get wrote up and risk loosing your job. Now that time is on a rolling calendar so part of it will drop off every 13 weeks. So say you have to go to the dr and your 30 minutes late, that goes against your unpaid time off (UTO). If you have to take a day off try and do it at least a week in advance. It starts at 0 but it can get up to 5.00% very easy. The second thing that stands out is how they keep track of your unexcused time off. ![]() It’s okay if you get tons of completes, but if it’s a slow week you may not do very well. So some days you may average out to $9 per hour while others you may average at $14. What this is is you get paid for each piece that you complete or cancel. So after training, and your 90 day probation period, you go to pay by piece. The first thing that stands out to me is, how you get paid. ![]()
